Summary

The Edit Aperture dialog provides controls to set up the required aperture information for the design.

Access

The Edit Aperture dialog is accessed from the Legacy tab of the Gerber Setup dialog in the following ways:

  • by selecting the Add Aperture command from the button drop-down at the bottom-right of the apertures list;
  • by selecting an aperture in the apertures list and selecting the Edit Aperture command from the button drop-down at the bottom-right of the apertures list;

The Advanced Settings dialog is accessed by clicking the Advanced button on the System – General page of the Preferences dialog. If any changes are made in the Advanced Settings dialog, the software must be restarted in order for the changes to take effect.

 When the UI.Unification.GerberDialog option is disabled, the Aperture dialog is used for setting up the required aperture information for the design.

The Legacy tab of the Gerber Setup dialog is accessible from an Outjob file only, if some values different from defaults have been defined and saved in the previous iteration of the Gerber Setup dialog.
To access the aperture configurations controls on the Legacy tab of the Gerber Setup dialog, the Embedded apertures (RS274X) option must be disabled.
