Enter Column Properties

Summary

The Enter Column Properties dialog is used to edit or define an alternate name for an ActiveBOM column.

Access

To access the dialog, right-click on a column name in the column header region of the BomDoc then select the Rename Column command from the context menu. 

Options/Controls

  • Name - the name of the column as it is defined in the source of the BOM Item, such as the component parameter.
  • Alias - enter the alternate name that you want used as the column name. Note that the alias is used as the column name in generated BOM outputs.

The Alias also can be defined and edited in the Columns region of the ActiveBOM Properties panel.
