The Custom Revision ID dialog

Summary

The Custom Revision ID dialog allows you to manually specify the revision of the target item into which the generated data will be released.

Access

The dialog is accessed in the Configure Server Release stage (Stage 1) of the Project Releaser (Project » Project Releaser) by clicking on the Target Revision link then choose Custom from the drop-down menu.

When connected to an Altium 365 Workspace, note that definition and use of revision naming schemes is not supported with the Standard Subscription Plan. As such, the Custom Revision ID dialog will not be available with this level of access to Altium 365.

Options/Controls

Depending on the level revision naming scheme employed, there may be up to three Level ID types.

  • Level 2 ID - use the up/down buttons to select the desired revision ID. You can also enter the desired value in the textbox.
  • Level 1 ID - use the up/down buttons to select the desired revision ID. You can also enter the desired value in the textbox.
  • Level 0 ID - use the up/down buttons to select the desired revision ID. You can also enter the desired value in the textbox.
The ID of the item's first planned revision can be changed at any point after the Item is created and before data is released into that initial revision (i.e. it is still in the Planned state).
