The File Format dialog
Summary Copy Link Copied
The File Format dialog allows you to save the schematic document in a different file format.
Access Copy Link Copied
The dialog is accessed after modifying a binary version 3.0, or 4.0, or 5.0 schematic document then clicking File » Save from the main menus.
Options/Controls Copy Link Copied
- SCH Binary Version 5.0 - select to save the current schematic document in SCH Binary version 5.0 format. This is the recommended option.
- SCH Binary Version 4.0 - select to save the current schematic document in binary form, using the version 4.x format. The features introduced in Altium Designer will be lost in this format.
- SCH ASCII Version 5.0 - select to save the current schematic document in a text file using the version 5.0 format.
