Choose Model
The features available depend on your Altium product access level. Compare features included in the various levels of Altium Designer Software Subscription and functionality delivered through applications provided by the Altium 365 platform.

This dialog allows designers to easily select an exisiting 3D model for use when placing a 3D body.

With the 3D Body dialog in Generic 3D Model mode, enable the File option under the Generic 3D Model region of the dialog. Then click the Select button to open the Choose Model dialog.

Navigate through the directories to find and select the desired 3D model revision and click OK to return to the 3D Body dialog.
If the desired directory isn't available, click the Add Directories button. This will open the PCB Editor - Models page of the Preferences dialog. From here, directories (or Model Search Paths) can be easily added or edited.
