The Create new component dialog is used to select the type of component when adding a new component. Once added, the component will be displayed in the Projects panel.

Access Copy Link Copied

The dialog is accessed from any editor by clicking File » New » Component from the main menus.

To access this dialog, you must be signed into a server.

Options/Controls Copy Link Copied

Search - use the text box to enter the component type for which you want to search. The list of component types will be filtered according to the search string entered.
Component type list - select the desired component type from the list then click OK.

After clicking OK, the Component Editor opens as the active document in the main design window from where you can define the new component (displayed as New component in the Projects panel in terms of description, parameters, etc. After defining the new component, the Projects panel will display the new component.
