The PCB Library Component dialog

Summary

This dialog provides controls to configure properties for the PCB library component.

Access

The dialog is accessed from the PCB Library Editor in the following ways:

• Use the Home | Library |  » Component Properties command from the main menus.
• Double-click on the entry for the component in the Components region of the PCB Library panel. Alternatively, right-click on the component in the PCB Library  then choose Component Properties from the contaxe menu.

Options/Controls

• Name - the name of the component model.
• Height - the height of the component model. This value is checked by the Height Placement design rule. Note that this value is not checked by the Component Clearance design rule; it performs clearance checking on 3D body objects included in the PCB footprints.
• Description - a meaningful description of the component model.
