Summary

This command is used to quickly create a vault-based Project Template Item, from the active project. It is used to release the active project into either the initial revision of a new Project Template Item, or the next planned revision of an existing Item.

Access

With a source document of the required project open as the active document, this command is accessed by choosing the Project » Release to Vault as template command from the main menus.

Use

After launching the command, the Select or create project item for release dialog will appear. Browse to an existing Project Template Item - which must have a revision in the Planned state - or create a new Project Template Item on-the-fly. After choosing the Item and clicking OK, the project will be released into the initial/latest revision of that Item.

Browse the released project directly in the vault using the Vaults panel.

Tips

1. The released data consists of the project, its source files, the project structure file, and any other related files (e.g. previews, generated files, harness definition files, annotation files, etc).
