Summary

The Current User Information menu is used to sign into your Altium account or to sign into a managed content server, as well as accessing license management, and extensions and updates.

Access

The Current User Information menu is accessed by clicking the Bobblehead Icon  button, at the top-right of the main application window.

Options/Controls

Not signed in 

  • Sign In - provides access to the Sign In dialog, from where you can sign into your Altium account using your AltiumLive credentials (username and password). 

Connect to

  • Known Servers  - presents a list in terms of name and URL of the servers that you have previously signed into from this instance of Altium NEXUS.
  • Custom - accesses the Sign In dialog, where you can log into a different server of your choice. 

Manage

  • Licenses - provides access to the License Management view, 'command central' for signing into your Altium account, and setting up your licensing for the software.
  • Extensions and Updates - provides access to the Extensions & Updates view, from where additional software functionality, provided through optional extensions, can be browsed, installed and managed. The view also reflects the current state of the Altium NEXUS platform itself, with controls available to modify the core features and functionality installed with the platform, and also to update the platform to the next version of Altium NEXUS, as and when it becomes available.

Signed into a server 

  • Sign Out - use this command to sign out of the server that you are currently signed into.

Connected to

  • Server - presents the name and URL of the server you are currently signed into. Click on the server name to open the Explorer panel. The Explorer panel provides the direct interface to your managed content server. 

Switch to 

  • Known Servers  - presents a list in terms of name and URL of the servers that you have previously signed into from this instance of Altium NEXUS.
  • Custom - accesses the Sign In dialog, where you can log into a different server of your choice.
