Summary
This command is used to extend a selection by one character to the left of the current cursor position.
Access
Access to this command is made using the Shift+Left Arrow keyboard shortcut only.
Use
Simply position the cursor at the required location in the document and launch the command. The character to the left of the original cursor position will become selected. Use the command repeatedly, to select further characters to the left.
Tips
- You can control selection specifically by using Click-and-drag.
- If the cursor location is to the right of currently selected text, using this command will effectively deselect the character to the left.
