The Model Manager dialog.

Summary

The designer can add, remove, or edit models for schematic symbols in this dialog. 

Access

The Model Manager dialog can be accessed in the following ways:

• Select Tools » Model Manager.
• Right-click on a component in the SCH Library panel and select Model Manager from the context menu.

Options/Controls

The left region lists all existing components in the current schematic library, the right region lists out related PCB models and preview.

• Mask - Type in component name in this field; you can use "*" as wildcard character.
• Model list - Lists all models related to the selected component. This region of the dialog contains a right-click menu which allows you to easily to add, copy, paste, remove, or edit a model.
• Add Footprint- Click this button to open the PCB Model dialog, from which the designer can customize (if necessary) and add a desired footprint.
  • Add - Click the button to choose from additional Add model options. These include: Footprint, PCB3D, Simulation, Ibis Model, and Signal Integrity. For each option, an associated dialog will open to allow the designer to customize (if necessary) and add the desired model.
• Remove - Click this button to remove a selected footprint(s).
• Edit - Click this button to open the model's associated dialog, from which the designer can edit an existing model.
