Created: luty 09, 2022 | Updated: luty 11, 2022
The Update Parts To Latest Revision button is used to open the Update Parts dialog in which you can choose to update placed components that are not in their latest revisions within a project.
The command is available from any editor (except the Component Editor, Schematic Library editor, and PCB Footprint Library editor) in the Tools | Manage region.
Once the Update Parts To Latest Revision button is clicked, the Update Parts dialog opens.
This dialog allows you to choose among one of four update modes:
- Selected parts – this mode ensures that only components that are selected in the design space will be updated.
- Current document – this mode ensures that all components in the currently active document will be updated.
- Opened project documents – this mode ensures that all components in each project document that is open (denoted by the or icon in the Projects panel) will be updated.
- All project documents – this mode ensures that all components in each project document, opened or closed, will be updated. When a document is open, the or icon will appear in the Projects panel. If the document is closed, no icon will appear.
After choosing an update mode and clicking the OK button in the dialog, the information dialog with the update summary will appear. Open the Messages panel for more detailed information about the update.
