Summary
This dialog allows you to extract the 3D model from each component in the active PCB library. Each model will be saved to a separate file with a file extension that reflects the 3D model-kind.
Access
The Generate 3D Model files from PCB Libraries dialog is accessed by clicking Tools » Extract 3D Models in the PCB Library editor.
Options/Controls
If there are 3D models present in any component, each model will be saved to a separate file in the chosen location.
- Specify the destination for output files - models can be written into the specified sub-folder of the folder that the PCB library is stored in or into the specified directory. Use the buttons to select the required option then enter the folder name or full folder path+name.
- Overwrite existing files - if there are existing model files present in the target location, they will be automatically overwritten if this option is enabled.
