After clicking OK, the newly-configured table appears floating on the cursor, ready for placement. Position the table at the required location and click once to effect placement.
Tips
- A table can be graphically modified after placement. Click on the table to select it then click the at the upper left corner of the table to move the table to a different location within the current sheet.
- Along with the Border line styles, for the table perimeter (Outer Line) and cell divisions (Inner Line), the style of individual Cell Properties (Width, Color, Padding and Text style) can be changed as required. Multiple cells can be selected to change their collective properties – use standard Shift+Click techniques, or click and drag across cells.
- The Table is selected when a cell or its Title is clicked, however the Delete command will apply to the specific element that is clicked. To delete the entire Table, first select it’s Title.
- Right click in a cell and select the Table menu from the context menu to access the cell configuration commands. These provide a full set of Table manipulation functions for adding and removing Columns/Rows and Merging Cells.
- Most aspects of a placed table are available for editing through the Properties panel. If the panel is already open, simply select a placed table to populate the panel with its associated properties. If the panel is not open, double-click on the table to access it.
- Defaults for this primitive type can be defined on the Draftsman - Defaults page of the Preferences dialog.
