Summary

This violation occurs when an object such as a Port, Sheet Entry, or Harness Entry, has an associated Harness Type which represents a connection to a Signal Harness when it is placed on a wire.

Notification

If compiler errors and warnings are enabled for display on the schematic (enabled on the Schematic - Compiler page of the Preferences dialog) an offending object will display a colored squiggle beneath it. A notification is also displayed in the Messages panel in the following format:

where:

  • Object is the offending Port, Sheet Entry, or Harness Entry.
  • ObjectName is the label of the offending object.

Recommendation for Resolution

Use the Details region of the Messages panel to quickly cross probe to the offending object (Port, Sheet Entry, or Harness Entry). Use correct naming conventions for wires, buses and Signal Harnesses.
