The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:
Copy
Applied Parameters: None
Summary
This command is used to copy the content of one or more selected editable cells, from the active Component Library document, to the clipboard.
Access
With one or more editable cells selected in the definitions region, this command can be accessed from the Component Library Editor, when configured in Batch Editor mode, by:
- Choosing the Edit » Copy command from the main menus.
- Clicking the button on the Component Library Standard toolbar.
- Right-clicking over a cell in the selection and choosing the Copy command from the context menu.
- Using the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut.
If the Component Library Editor is currently in Single Component Editor mode, switch to the Batch Editor mode using the Tools » Switch to Batch Editor command.
Use
First, select the cell(s) whose value(s) you wish to copy. After launching the command, the selected data will be copied to the clipboard.
Tips
-
Copy data into an external spreadsheet application, from where changes can be made as required using the cell editing power that only a spreadsheet editor can bring. Then paste the altered data back into the Component Library file - an expedient way to build component definitions.
