Summary

This dialog provides controls to edit the properties of a file to be exported in the DWG or DXF format and allows you to export the current Schematic document to an AutoCAD *.DXF or *.DWG file graphic data.

Access

The dialog is accessed from the schematic editor by selecting File » Export » DXF/DWG from the main menus. From the resulting file browser, choose a location in which to save the exported file then click Save.

Options/Controls

Options

  • AutoCAD Version  – use the drop-down menu to select the version of AutoCAD that is compatible with the exported file.
  • Format – select the format (DWG or DXF) of the exported file.
  • Units – select whether the exported file uses Metric or Imperial measurement units for the dimensional data.

Schematic Options

  • Include Template – check this option to include the current template graphics in the exported AutoCAD file.
When all desired options have been selected, click OK. The Export Documents dialog will open and allow you to set the scope of schematic documents to be exported. Note that the Just this document option applies to the currently active schematic document.
