  • Historical Parts List - this, the main area of the dialog, presents a listing of all previously placed parts, with the most recently placed part at the top of the list. The following information is presented for each listed part:
    • Design Item ID - the name of the physical component. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Physical Component field in the Place Part dialog.
    • Lib. Reference - the name of the logical symbol, which is the symbolic representation of the physical component in the schematic domain. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Logical Symbol field in the Place Part dialog.
  • Designator - the designator that was used when the component was placed. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Designator field in the Place Part dialog.
  • Comment - the comment that was used when the component was placed. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Comment field in the Place Part dialog.
  • Footprint - the footprint model that was chosen to represent the component in the PCB domain. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Footprint field in the Place Part dialog.
  • Part ID - for a multi-part component, this field shows the specific part that was placed. For a single part component, this field will simply reflect this with the entry 1. This information comes from/is loaded into, the Part ID field in the Place Part dialog.
To reuse a part in the list, either select it and click the OK button, or double-click on it. The information for that part will be loaded into the indicated fields in the Place Part dialog, ready for placement. Modify attributes prior to actual placement, if needed.
  • Clear History - click this button to completely flush the history list, removing all entries.
