Summary

The System - Altium Vault page of the Preferences dialog stores login credentials for Altium Vault as well as allowing designers to adjust how comments from project collaboration appear (or not) in the workplace.

Access

This page is accessed by clicking Altium Vault under the System folder in the main Preferences dialog (DXP » Preferences).

Options/Controls

Saved Credentials

This section of the page saves login information used to access the Altium Vault. Current login information is displayed by default. Click the button to view previously used Server Addresses and User Names. Passwords must be re-entered manually.

If you are not yet signed in to your Altium Vault, use the Sign in Altium Vault control to do so. Once signed in, this control will disappear from the page.

Actions

  • Sign me in when I start Altium Designer - enable this option to automatically sign in to the Altium Vault when Altium Designer is launched.
  • Use Windows Session credentials - enable this option to use your current Windows credentials to sign in to the Altium Vault.

Collaboration

This region of the page only appears once you are signed in to an Altium Vault.

Schematic

  • Show Comment Threads - This option controls the display and appearance of comments in the workspace, when working with managed projects. Enable/disable to show/hide comments.
  • Alignment - Click to open the dropdown menu and select whether comments on the schematic are Left, Center, or Right aligned.
  • Text Margin - use this field to determine the text margin as required.
  • Text Color - Click the color box and use the standard Choose Color dialog to select a new text color.
  • Font - Click the Font hyperlink to open the standard Font dialog and select a new font and font style.
  • Reference Line Color - Click the color box and use the standard Choose Color dialog to select a new reference line color.
  • Reference Line Width - Click to open the dropdown menu and select whether the reference line width is smallest, small, medium, or large.
  • Reference Line Style - Click to open the dropdown menu and select whether the reference line style is Solid, Dash, Dot, Dash-Dot, or Dash-Dot-Dot.

PCB

  • Show Comment Threads - This option controls the display and appearance of comments in the workspace, when working with managed projects. Enable/disable to show/hide comments.
  • Mask Area Color - Click the color box and use the standard Choose Color dialog to select a new mask area color.
  • Mask Area Alpha - Click and drag the slider to determine the Mask Area Alpha percentage. The number percentage displays while the slider is being dragged.
  • Text Color - Click the color box and use the standard Choose Color dialog to select a new text color.
  • Reference Line Color - Click the color box and use the standard Choose Color dialog to select a new reference line color.
  • Reference Line Width - Click to open the dropdown menu and select whether the reference line width is smallest, small, medium, or large.
