The Create Revision dialog
Summary Copy Link Copied
The Create Revision dialog is used to release a modified item back to the server and create a new revision of the item. The dialog displays information associated with the item revision to be updated. If desired, related component items can be updated at the time of release as well.
Access Copy Link Copied
After modifying a model document, click the 
button on the Quick Access bar or use the Ctrl+Alt+S hotkeys to release the current document to a new revision in a server and launch this dialog.
Options/Controls Copy Link Copied
- Release Notes - click in the text field to add release notes for the item revision.
- Name - the name of the item to be released.
- Revision - displays the name of the revision to be created. Click the
button to open a dialog in which you can select the desired revision. - Description - displays any description associated with the item. Click in the text field to edit the description.
- OK - click to release the item back to the server; its associated temporary editor is closed.
