Summary

The Data Management – Component Rule Checks page of the Preferences dialog is used to configure component error reporting.

Access

The Data Management – Component Rule Checks page is part of the main Preferences dialog that is accessed by clicking the  control in the upper-right corner of the workspace then selecting the Component Rule Checks entry under the Data Management folder.

Options/Controls

Component Rule Checks

  • Violation Type Description - displays all violation types in three categories: Violations Associated with ComponentsViolations Associated with Footprints, and Violations Associated with Symbols.
  • Report Mode - displays the current report mode for the associated violation. Click the current mode to access a drop-down from where you can select the desired mode: No Report, Warning, Error, Fatal Error
