CompareHistory
Applied Parameters: None
Summary
The CompareHistory command is used to Compare selected documents, normally between two versions of the same document. The command allows users to quickly and easily see what has been changed between versions and track the design process.
Access
The command can be used in either of the following ways:
- Combined View - From the Storage Manager panel, select two versions of a document (any combination of open document, head revision, and last saved document) from the Timeline region of the panel. Right-click and select Compare from the context menu.
- Classic View - From the Storage Manager panel, select the open document and the last saved version of a document from the Timeline region of the panel. Right-click and select Compare from the context menu.
Use
- Combined View - After running the command, the Differences panel opens and displays any differences between the two versions. The two versions will open at the same time. Clicking on an item in the Differences panel will highlight the item in each version so you can view the change.
- Classic View - After running the command, the CompareForm dialog opens and displays both documents side by side in a text format. Added lines are highlighted in pink, modified lines are highlighted in green, and deleted lines are highlighted in blue, allowing users to easily view changes.
