The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:
Paste
Applied Parameters: None
Summary
This command is used to paste content from the clipboard into one or more editable cells within the component definitions region (main grid) of the active Component Library document.
Access
With one or more editable cells selected in the definitions region, this command can be accessed from the Component Library Editor when configured in Batch Editor mode by:
- Choosing the Edit » Paste command from the main menus.
- Clicking the button on the Component Library Standard toolbar.
- Right-clicking over a cell in the selection and choosing the Paste command from the context menu.
- Using the Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut.
The command is only available provided data has been copied to the clipboard.
If the Component Library Editor is currently in Single Component Editor mode, switch to the Batch Editor mode using the Tools » Switch to Batch Editor command.
Use
First, select the cell(s) into which you want to paste the content from the clipboard. After launching the command, the clipboard data will be pasted into the cell(s). If a target cell is not empty (i.e. already contains data), you will be asked to confirm that you want to proceed.
If the target cell is incompatible with the clipboard data, the paste will not happen (for example, when pasting parameteric data into a model link field).
