The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:
Generate Components
Applied Parameters: Index=n (where n is in the range 1 to 20)
Summary
This command is used to quickly create a batch of component definitions for the indicated component type.
This command is currently hard-coded. Only component definitions for Generic Chip Resistors are available for generation. You are not able to batch-create definitions for your own defined component types at this time.
Access
This command can be accessed from the Component Library Editor, when configured in Batch Editor mode, by:
- Choosing the Edit » Operations » Generate Basic Chip Resistors command from the main menus.
- Right-clicking over the definitions region, away from any currently defined definitions, and choosing the Operations » Generate Basic Chip Resistors command from the context menu.
The command only becomes available on the respective menu provided no component definition is currently selected.
If the Component Library Editor is currently in Single Component Editor mode, switch to the Batch Editor mode using the Tools » Switch to Batch Editor command.
Use
After launching the command, component definitions will be automatically generated for the indicated component type.
Tips
- The component definitions generated by running this command will be added to those already defined. In other words, the latter are not overwritten by generation of the former.
