Summary
This command is used to turn the visible grid on or off in the current document.
Access
This command can be accessed from the Schematic Editor, and Schematic Library Editor, by:
- Choosing the View » Grids » Toggle Visible Grid command, from the main menus.
- Choosing the Toggle Visible Grid command, on the Grids drop-down () of the Utilities toolbar.
- Using the Shift+Ctrl+G keyboard shortcut.
Use
The visible grid is used purely as an aid for visually aligning objects. The setting of this grid has no affect on the cursor movement during editing.
Launch the command to toggle the visible grid status on or off.
Tips

The visible grid can also be enabled/disabled using the Show Grid option, in the General section of the Properties panel (when no objects are currently selected in the workspace).

Metric and Imperial presets for the visible grid can be defined from the Schematic - Grids page of the Preferences dialog.
