Rule Category: Placement
Rule Classification: Unary
Summary
This rule specifies which nets should be ignored during autoplacement with the Cluster Placer.
Constraints
None, the rule applies to all nets targeted by the scope (Full Query).
How Duplicate Rule Contentions are Resolved
Contentions are not possible.
Rule Application
During autoplacement with the Cluster Placer.
Tips
- Ignoring power nets can assist in placement speed and quality. If the design has a large number of two pin components that connect to a power net, ignoring the power net will result in these components being clustered based on their other net, rather than the power net.
