Export or Import Simulation Profiles to or from an OutJob File

This document is no longer available beyond version 17.1. Information can now be found here: Analyzing Your Design using Circuit Simulation for version 25

Along with other Simulation enhancements, Altium Designer 17.0 saw the introduction of the Simulation Profile Manager. In hand with the Profile Manager, Outjob files can be leveraged to store simulation profiles, allowing designers to run batch simulations and copy simulation profile settings to and from OutJobs. Select a simulation profile from an OutJob for use as the active profile, or run simulation results directly from the OutJob file.

In Altium Designer 17.1, the Simulation Profile Manager has added improvements for importing and exporting Simulation Profiles to OutJobs. Launch the Profile Manager by running the Simulate » Profile Manager command.

Clicking on the Import button at the bottom of the Profile Manager opens a drop-down menu. From there users can select to import a Simulation Profile from a file or existing OutJob.

After importing a simulation profile, it is added to the Profile Manager.

Likewise, click on the Export button to export from an existing file or OutJob.

After selecting a file or OutJob for export, that file is opened and set as the active document.

Simulation profiles can still also be defined in the OutJob, where they can be run as a batch.
