Summary

The Data Management – Backup page of the Preferences dialog provides controls to set up data backup location and frequency.

Access

The Data Management – Backup page is part of the main Preferences dialog that is accessed by clicking the  control in the upper-right corner of the workspace then selecting the Backup entry under the Data Management folder.

Options/Controls

Auto Save 

  • Auto save every - check this option to enable the auto save function. Use the Minutes region to enter or scroll to the desired minutes. 
  • Number of versions to keep - enter or scroll to the number of versions to keep during an auto save.
  • Path - click  to open the Browse For Folder dialog to search for the desired location in which to save the files.
For a default installation, the Path for the Auto Save feature will be: \Users\<ProfileName>\AppData\Roaming\Altium\Altium Designer <GUID>\Recovery.
For a default installation, the Path for the Auto Save feature will be:\Users\<ProfileName>\AppData\Roaming\Altium\Altium NEXUS <GUID>\Recovery.
