The following sections list the release notes for publicly released versions of Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server 7.1.

While the Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server installer includes automated backup of your existing installation, it is always a good idea to make a pre-update backup of your data yourself - taking a redundancy copy off to one side, as it were. This provides additional safety should any unforeseen technical difficulties arise (see Backing up and Restoring Your Installation). It is advised to test out a new release of Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server on a different machine, before updating your production instance. Use of Virtual Machines can be invaluable in this respect.

In addition, please ensure that you refresh your Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server licensing. From the Admin – Licenses page of the Workspace browser interface, delete the existing Server/CAL licenses and then add fresh instances back in. This will ensure you have the latest licensing, incorporating any licensing-related feature changes.

Version 7.1.2

In the near future, SVN will no longer be supported in the Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server product. We will update you during the next few releases regarding the timeline as to when support will end. Learn more about how you can migrate a project from an SVN repository to the Enterprise Server's built-in Git repository.

Infrastructure & Administration

44386	Added abilities to automatically disconnect an Altium Designer instance from the Enterprise Server Workspace and/or to release a seat of an 'in-use' Private Server Altium Designer license, when the client machine is in an inactive or idle state.
44633	Updated Server updater to preserve existing HTTPS certificates in IIS when multiple certificates are used.
44661	Fixed issue where, in some cases when accessing the Admin - Configurations page through the Server's browser interface, the error "Something went wrong - The JSON request was too large to be deserialized" would be encountered.
44743	Resolved an issue where SPN View would break if a supplier had missing price information.
44854	Fixed a bug causing missing models after an upgrade due to language-dependent symbols in HRID.
45028	Fixed a potential infinite lock issue in the License API.
45113	Removed all connection to use of .NET 6 in this release, fully using .NET 8 (8.0.12) instead.
45495	Fixed an issue where user sorting was incorrectly affected by case sensitivity.

Infrastructure & Administration

39644	Most Server services have been upgraded to .NET 8. The outdated .NET 6 runtime is no longer installed as part of Server installation.
43666	Fixed performance issues causing long loading times for tasks and operations on the Task Dashboard.
43780	Resolved an issue where component parameter values were missing in the web view when a variant was selected.
43793	Updated the IDS cache timeout for the Server to 10 minutes.
43888	Enhanced the avBackup tool by adding logging with timestamps.
44047	Fixed an issue where gpg-agent.exe and its dependent libraries were sometimes not removed during Server uninstallation.
44309	Addressed a problem where not all users were displayed and the display order did not align with the paging order (in the Server) when accessed via Microsoft Edge with a large user base.
44325	Fixed an issue causing missing models after upgrading to the Altium On-Prem Enterprise Server.
44375	Added support for the CreatedBy field in Oracle-to-Firebird conversions.
44568	Resolved an issue where the message "Render document error" was displayed on the Gerber comparison result page.
