SVN Design Repository
Summary
A design repository is a version control system that contains your team's design documents. The SVN Design Repository dialog allows you to edit the properties of a subversion-based design repository, which in turn allows you to manage revisions and version control.
Access
The SVN Design Repository dialog can be accessed through the the Data Management – Design Repositories page of the Preference dialog. In the Design Repositories page, open the SVM Design Repository dialog in either of the following ways:
- Double click on a repository.
- Highlight a repository and click the Properties button.
Options/Controls
Use the available options to name your design repository and set the repository location. The dialog also allows you to view the repository's server information.
Design Repository Properties
- Name - Review and/or change the name of the design repository.
- Default Checkout Path - Click the button next to the text box to change the design repository folder.
Repository
The Repository fields are displayed for information only.
- Method - The method of design repository.
- Server - The host server for the repository.
- Server Port: View whether the repository uses a default or non default server port.
- Default - If selected, the repository uses a default server port.
- Non Default - If selected, the repository uses a non default server port. The server port's information will be displayed as well.
- Repository Subfolder - The repository's designated subfolder.
- User Name - Your user name for the repository.
- Password - Your password for the design repository.
- Test - Test if the connection to your design repository works. A dialog box will pop up to confirm whether it does or does not. If the connection fails, double check and correct the information you entered.
