Summary
The designer can add, remove, or edit models for schematic symbols in this dialog.
Access
The Model Manager dialog can be accessed in the following ways:
- Select Tools » Model Manager.
- Right-click on a component in the SCH Library panel and select Model Manager from the context menu.
Options/Controls
The left region lists all existing components in the current schematic library, the right region lists out related PCB models and preview.
- Mask - Type in component name in this field; you can use "*" as wildcard character.
- Model list - Lists all models related to the selected component. This region of the dialog contains a right-click menu which allows you to easily to add, copy, paste, remove, or edit a model.
- Add Footprint- Click this button to open the PCB Model dialog, from which the designer can customize (if necessary) and add a desired footprint.
- Add - Click the button to choose from additional Add model options. These include: Footprint,
PCB3D
,Simulation
,Ibis Model
, andSignal Integrity
. For each option, an associated dialog will open to allow the designer to customize (if necessary) and add the desired model.
