Font Name
Applied Parameters: None
Summary
This feature allows you to change the font used for one or more selected design objects, where applicable.
Such attributes for an individual object can be changed using its associated properties dialog - double-click on the object to access.
Access
This feature is available in the Schematic Editor only, from the Formatting toolbar.
Accessing the Font Name feature, from the Formatting toolbar.
Use
First, ensure that the object whose font you wish to change is selected in the main design window.
Use the drop-down to choose from a list of font types that can be applied to the selected design object. As you scroll through and choose different fonts from the list, the font of the object's text will change accordingly.
Tips
- This feature will only be available if applicable to the currently selected object. That is, it has a Font property.
- The drop-down list is populated with TrueType and OpenType (a superset of TrueType) fonts found in the \Windows\Fonts folder. Note, the list will only include entries for detected (and uniquely named) root fonts. For example, Arial and Arial Black will be listed but Arial Bold, Arial Bold Italic, etc will not.
- When multiple design objects are selected, only those formatting features common to all, will be available for use. Therefore, in order to effectively change the formatting attribute of a group of selected objects, make sure they all support that formatting feature.
