Component Variations - Logical
Applied Parameters: ContextSensitive=True
Summary
This command is used to access the Variant Management dialog, with just the component under the cursor (or group of selected components) presented. This allows you to focus on making variations to just those components, without having to scroll up and down through the otherwise fully-populated dialog.
Access
This command is accessed in the Schematic Editor, from the Editor tab (logical view of the design), by:
- Right-clicking over a placed component (not selected) and choosing the Part Actions » Variants command from the context menu.
- Right-clicking over a selected component (or a component that is part of a group of selected components) and choosing the Part Actions » Variants command from the context menu.
Use
After launching the command, the Variant Management dialog will open, displaying only the selected components (or component under the cursor). Perform the required variations and click OK to apply them to the design.
Tips
- When accessed from the Editor tab, the Variant Management dialog will present all defined variants.
- For more conceptual information about variants, see Design Variants.
