Applied Parameters: None
Summary
This command is used to access the Sheet Properties dialog for the active Draftsman document (*.PCBDwf). This dialog provides options that affect the styling of sheets within the active Draftsman document only. Standard or custom sizes and border settings may be defined, or alternatively the settings from a predefined Draftsman Sheet Template (*.DwsDot) can be applied. Settings can be applied to the current sheet (page) of the document, or to all sheets in the document.

Access
This command can be accessed from the PcbDrawing Editor by:
- Choosing the Tools » Sheet Properties command from the main menus.
- Right-clicking in the workspace and choosing the Sheet Properties command from the context menu.
Use
First, ensure that the Draftsman document (*.PCBDwf) whose sheet(s) you wish to modify, is open as the active document in the main design window. If you want to change the look of a specific sheet within the document (rather than all sheets), also ensure that that sheet is the current sheet. This is done by clicking within the sheet - verify you have the right sheet, by using the information in the Status Bar.
After launching the command, the Sheet Properties dialog will appear. Use this dialog to specify the size of the sheet, as well as the presentation of its margins and zones. You can choose a standard sheet size (e.g. A4, A3, etc), or enter a customized sheet width and height. Alternatively, you can opt to apply the settings defined in a custom Draftsman Sheet Template. Such a template contains the graphics information for a page, including sheet sizes, parameters, and zones and border settings. Objects created with the editor's graphics tools (such as lines, rectangles, circles and text) can also be included - for example, a constructed Title block and content. A range of predefined templates are available, or simply click the Browse button to locate an alternative template in another location.
If the settings are to be applied to the current sheet only, ensure the Apply to field is set to Current Page. Set this to Entire Document, if you wish to apply the settings to all sheets in the document. Click OK to effect any modifications.
Tips
- All settings defined through the dialog are saved with the active Draftsman document.
- The listing of custom templates will be those found in the Templates Location, specified on the Draftsman - Templates page of the Preferences dialog. For a default installation of the Draftsman extension, this will be the \ProgramData\Altium\Altium Designer {GUID}\Extensions\Draftsman\Templates folder.
- You can create your own custom sheet templates, by saving an existing Draftsman document in the
*.DwsDot
format (using the File » Save As, or File » Save Copy As commands).
