The following pre-packaged resource, derived from this base command, is available:
Freeze 3D Visualization
Applied Parameters: Freeze = TOGGLE
Summary
This command is used to freeze the graphical displays within the 3D Visualization panel, holding their view as the last position the cursor reached when the command was launched, while the cursor remains free to continue moving in the main design workspace.
Access
This command can be accessed from the PCB Editor, in 3D Layout Mode, by:
- Choosing the View » Freeze 3D Visualization command, from the main menus.
- Using the Shift+F3 keyboard shortcut.
Use
First ensure that the PCB Editor is placed in 3D Layout Mode. This can be done by choosing the View » 3D Layout Mode command, from the main menus, or by using the 3 keyboard shortcut. Also ensure that the 3D Visualization panel is open and visible.
After launching the command, the three regions in the panel that reflect various graphical projections based on the current cursor position in the main window - Section A-A, Section B-B, and 3D Board Insight - will be 'frozen' at the last cursor position. Use the command again to unfreeze these views (they will update as soon as the cursor is moved in the main design workspace).
Tips
- Since this command is based on last cursor position, it is advised to use the shortcut to access the command.
