Applied Parameters: Action=ToggleFastCrossSelect
Summary
This feature facilitates dynamic, bi-directional component cross-selection. It is used to select corresponding objects between PCB and schematic documents. That is, when you select an object on the PCB document, the same object on the source schematic document is also selected (and vice-versa).
Access
This feature is accessed from the PCB Editor by choosing the Tools » Cross Select Mode command from the main menus.
Use
With this feature enabled, simply click to select one or more components within the PCB workspace - those same components will become selected on the relevant schematic sheet.
The target document will not be made the active document. It is therefore a good idea to have both source and target documents open side-by-side.
Tips
- Cross Select Mode display behavior is controlled using the Cross Select Zoom Options and Zoom Precision controls, on the System - Navigation page of the Preferences dialog.
- If a document is closed and then reopened, the project must be re-compiled before the feature will work correctly for affected objects on that document.
