The following pre-packaged resources, derived from this base command, are available:
Automatic Cross References Settings
Applied Parameters: ObjectKind=Project| Action=Options
Summary
This command is used to add port and off sheet connectors cross-referencing information to all source schematic documents in the active project.
Note that the cross-reference feature identifies the locations of interconnected
Ports and positional grid references for interconnected
Off Sheet Connectors. For both types of schematic connection objects, the
Automatic Cross Reference Settings command adds a cross-reference parameter based on the target sheet name and a positional grid reference.
Access
This command is accessed from the Schematic Editor by choosing the Reports » Automatic Cross Reference Settings command from the main menus.
Use
After launching the command, the Project Options - Options dialog will open where the settings can be enabled or disabled.
Tips
- Cross-reference information is added as a parameter to ports and off sheet connectors. The name of the parameter is CrossRef. With the parameter selected in the design space, you can modify its display properties as required through the Parameters section of the Properties panel, which presents all of the properties for the port and off sheet connector objects.
- On the Schematic - General page of the Preferences dialog in the Port Cross References region, you can configure the cross-references Sheet Style and Location Style.
